Facial Exfoliation?

Facial Exfoliation?

Exfoliating is great for removing the dead skin that leaves your skin with a dull appearance BUT... there’s always but, right? You shouldn’t exfoliate your face the same way you would exfoliate your body!

We get it! We all want bright, even skin. It's only right! Unfortunately, harsh exfoliating products and tools just do more harm than it does good. The skin on your face is much thinner and far more sensitive than the skin on the rest of your body. It can’t withstand the same treatments! 🙅🏽‍♀️

Exfoliating Scrubs?

You should never.. like EVER use sugar, salt, or nut scrubs on your face. No seriously.. NEVER! Those are great for exfoliating the tougher skin on your body but not on your face! Coarse exfoliating products and tools can cause small tears in the skin on your face which leaves your skin vulnerable to potential dark spots, pre-mature wrinkling, irritation, redness, swelling, and more! Don't even get us started on the dryness it can cause! 🥴

Instead, you should try non-abrasive exfoliants. Milder exfoliants with ingredients such as jojoba beads, AHA, glycolic acid, lactic acid, fruit acid, etc.. These are all gentle but effective! You don't have to worry about damaging your skin beyond repair! And please, don't worry! we'll be back in a later post to tell you all about these awesome ingredients! 🧚🏽

Facial Tools?

When using exfoliating tools like spin brushes, keep use to once a week! Daily washing with your hands is enough! If using a spin brush, make sure the brush is soft or try out a silicone facial brush. 🤩
